Costume and make up/hair -The use of costume and make up actors appears life like to character, it represents the characters reflects on how the audience perceive them. costume is a style of dress, including garments accessories and hairstyle with make up which you can make the actors  appear glamorous with lack of make up  can make the actors like everyday people. Make up in earlier years of cinemas was used to highlight facial features as black and white film could not register detail very well, so more make up had to be used.Relating to thriller films if the director want to show a woman being fearful and in tears, smudged make up can be used to show her emotions and costume also gives impression of the characters to the audience what kind character is like. 

facial expression and body language by the use of this elements the audience are able to capture the emotions of the characters, this includes gestures, postures, and facial expressions by which a person can make clear by various physical, mental or emotional actions with non verbal communication  the audience is able to assume characteristics about the character and how they are feeling  by not being directly told.For example, a character is scared the audience can tell through their characters body language and facial expression which able them to show it right away.

Focusing on the two main characters the male and female who are the killers, their character is represented by what they are wearing and use of make up and hair. The female is wearing limited clothing showing off midriff, the audience assume character is portrayed to be sexy. yet childish with pigtails, what she wears has impact on how  the audience believes her character to be,she also has tattoos and her make up is fairly heavy with red lipstick, giving the connotation of being quite slutty. In addition  the male characters costume is similar to a cow boy way of dressing, the pink tinted glasses are also put of his costume  what he wear is idea of his character, he wears his hair in a ponytail which can also be seen as his character  being strong, rough and untamed.    

Any female character  to (satisfy the stereotype ) will be very girly or dressed seductively if she portrays those types of characteristic, for any injuries fake blood  to be produced(use of red colour  connote danger and pain).Male character  depending may be more dominant by  use of dress in darker tone.

 From looking at this image we can automatically that this character his determined and confident his up for the challenge coming up his way, we can see this through his bodylanguage. due to this to this character standing side way fold his arms the audience believe him to be strong and powerful however the vibe we get from the protagonist's body language is very different to how  determine an antogonist  mind state depending their body langauge , for example we may say that this character is couragous and focused. We can see that this character is physically strong  which enable us to have a better understanding of why he is confident, his facial expression tells us that this character  calm  and focused on the task at hand.

 looking at this character we can straight away say that this character is confident and he believes in himself  that no one can defeat him , his superior to his enemies , strong, his standing open as if no one will attack him at all.This character does not look physically stroing however he does look mischievous which could mean he has got a trick.his facial expression tells the audience he is definietly confident his eyebrows  is raised up this could mean that he most be annoyed or his planning for revenge.

The facial expression of a character  help determine how the character is feeling in relationto their body langauge.The facial expression are also used to create suspense or to get the audience emotionally attached to the characters within the film.Facial expression can tell you alot about what type of character  they are  calm and state of mind.
