EvaluationQ5: How did you attract/ address your audience?

Secondary research is important as it gave us an idea of what our target audience liked and what they liked seeing within their thriller so I had to create a questionnaire find out about their preference of thriller. I believe that the target audience of our thriller were 15 and onwards as it 40 year people can be interested in watching thriller as their lifestyle may be activate  it was based on both ethnicity and its unisex as both male and female both liked watching thriller.

From my primary research I asked the target audience if people enjoy being scared or if their like the idea of having antagonist how it makes them feel more frightened as they like the idea of feeling scared this will benefit  the audience as its conventional to have  an antagonist. They like seeing low key lighting and if their like an isolated location.

The audience that I wanted to attract was 15 and onwards as they are more likely to be interested in thriller like the idea of the themes and the characters represented within the film. In my primary research I had to carry out a questionnaire this was important because it allowed me to know what the target audience liked about their thrillers appeal to all ethnicity which this appeal to most young student and adults who enjoys their thrillers and if the enjoy going out to have fun as the some adults like watching thriller for excitement and tension. From the research I have done I found out that the audience like to feel scared and they also like to feel uncomfortable, the audience liked interesting plot that kept them more in to the films and blow their minds away, they also mentions that they liked the relevant themes as that was the most important of making a thriller engaging for them to watch thriller they clearly know what they like watching on their screen is important for them. The audience tend to enjoy gruesome scene so that they feel like it’s a thriller film.

Hobbies and Interests: horror genre socialising thriller seekers cinemas, portray, drinking and relationships, friendships.

My questionnaires were relevant as it gave me an idea of what genre I wanted to use. And the idea of what my group had in mind. It also helped a lot  has it gave me an central feedback  the questionnaire gave me one quick back on what type of character I wanted to use within our thriller idea as what people my age like about thriller in order to help us  with our narrative.

This helped the target audience get a clear understanding of what type questions their liked and what they wanted to see in their thriller and this also helped me it gave me a better understanding of what my target audience wanted.

  1. Benji, it is clear to see that you know the importance of research and how primary research is beneficial in attracting your audience by getting feedback on what they like. You identify your audience well so you knew who to give your questionnaire to and there is some discussion on how your feedback influenced your outcomes.

-title your graphs and state how each of these helped you make formal decisions about your work
