Post-production: Audience Feedback

Audience feedback is important to see how effective  and successful my thriller film was, I screened my final outcome to an audience. I wanted to analyse whether my thriller  appealed to my target audience as well as receive some feedback. The feedback was received in form of focus group. The focus group helped  me  as it allowed me to get detailed feedback and this  could be done with providers prompts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Positive  comments

Maya Scott  aged 22 :’The setting and location worked very well with the narrative’.

I think that this is a really successful point for my thriller film as setting and location of a thriller is important to match the narrative otherwise the target audience would have got confused.

Marcus Wilson aged 15 said  :’ conventional lighting was used thought the opening scene’

I agree with this comment as  the low key lighting used throughout the film to create atmosphere for the audience as well as  creates a threatening effect for the innocent female characters.

Tiffany Kiese aged 18 said ‘ The soundtrack was parallel sound with the image on the screen.

I’m glad that the audience notice the soundtrack was parallel which fitted well with the content of  thriller film because it is important  that sound is effective on the audience to create certain responses and engage them into the film.

 

Constructive comments

Marcus Wilson  aged 16 said ‘ A wider a range of  angels could have been used’

I think that using  a wider a range of angels within my thriller would have been made it look more professional and effective as the audience would have had a larger view to the content of my thriller. I think that I should have used more closed up  that the audience could connect with the situation in my thriller.

Maya Scott aged 20: ' khaled should laughed a lot more louder should have add voice over'

I agree with this comment, i think that adding a voice over  would added to the theme revenge that was based on around and would have made the audience feel intimidated by the antagonist.

  Tiffany Kiese aged 18 said  ' The female character wasn't wearing  light colours which didn't go with the theme'

This  was a good comment to reflect on as I am aware  of the impact of how light colours are important,  the colours can show purity that the female character is shown vulnerable  that's  she's innocent. This could be improved , I think I would be able to impact my audience even more with the narrative and themes  I chose. 


looking  back on the feedback  i received its clear that my group did follow our brief and results that we had gathered from questionnaires that carried out  before the creating of our thriller film. Now that we have all this feedback, my group now feel that as though we have created a successful and conventional thriller. 


Conclusion
 The audience feedback we  had got was benefical to my group even though we had already created our final product, this is because my group are able to see if we were able  to make a conventional  and successful thriller film. The feedback recieved tells our target audience that we took their questionnaire answers  on consideration and tried to understand their thoughts  and ideas into our film creation.
