Re search :Age certificate

                                                         Age Certificate

The are many age certificates which gives the audiences a strong indication of what film they should watch and also it gives parents the sense of guidance to what they kids should watch age certificates are important are important to film industry  because the age certificate is what makes a film successful for example with different age certificate the directors and producers knows exactly what content should be in their films and what content is appealing to  the audience.

It is impossible to predict what might upset any particular child  a film should be suitable for audiences aged four years and over, films should be set  within a positive moral framework and should offer reassuring counterbalances to any violence, threat to horror.

General viewing, but some scenes may be unsuitable for young children.
Unaccompanied children of any may watch  a film should not disturb a child aged around eight or older. How ever parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger or more sensitive children.

At 18 the BBFC's guideline concerns will not normally override the principle that adults should be free to choose their own entertainment. Materials may touch on criminal activates or criminal law and display criminal offense. Also there may be violent or dangerous acts such as illegal drug use may shown but should cause harm to the public health or morals. This may include portrayals of sexual or sexualised violence which might , for example eroticise or endorse sexual assault  explicit images of sexual activity can be shown and bad language can be used.

These categories are awarded where the material is suitable , in general, only for those aged and over  this work is classified at categories may be upsetting children under  and it can contain material which parents will find unsuitable for them. The category exists only for video works, no younger than may rent or buy a rated video work.

The category exists only for cinemas films, no one younger than may see a film in a cinemas unless accompanied by an adult, and films classified are not recommended for a child below an adult may take a younger child if, in their judgement of the film is suitable for that particular child. In such circumstances ,responsibility for allowing a child under to view lies with accompanying adult.

12 A is  fairly a new age rating that came as a result of spider man -12  used  to be PG  it got changed in (2002). Views argued that Spiderman was too violence for children, and had a controversial narrative, so should not be given a PG ratings.

Therefore, The BBFC gave it a 12 ratings other viewer  argued that Spiderman was a childhood comic hero, so it was only fair that children were allowed to watch it.  Then  there was another  change this time it got given 12A rating which meant that those under 12 could only watch  the film if they are  accompanied by an adult.

Thriller age  ratings varies from 12A  upwards depending on its use of display on things such as drugs, illegal acts , portrayals of sex or violence, most thriller films are rated 15 as they usually  contains violence and which may harm kids younger than 15 however there have been expectation within the industry, such as the Spiderman film which was labelled 12A even though it shows  fighting's scene  that may harm 12 years old children and see if the film is suitable for them.

Finally,  I am able to say that I have learned  the differences age certificates and how they affect parents and their children, I am able to have an clear understanding on what my thriller film ratings may be  and how adjust it so it can be suitable for certain audiences. In my opinion I think that age certificate is good  and effective  because  the films children watch it has a massive impact  on their future lives, for example  a young child usually play fights with  their friends  and may find extreme  violence good and 'cool'  this is a turn point why  we must have age certificates on many films  so that  the young children are not exposed effected or influenced completely, this information  has helped me know exactly what my thriller rating may be which is a 15 also it as given  me the necessary  to help me keep my thriller age rating with the 15border, rather than  raising it to an 18 i have to be restricted.
